What time is check-in?

 

Check-in is available from 2:00pm. Early check-ins may be available upon request and will incur an additional charge. Please contact us in advance to arrange this.

What time is checkout?

 

Checkout is 10 AM daily. If you’d like a late checkout, speak to our office staff before 9:30 AM on the day of departure for availability and rates. You do not need to visit the office to check out unless you need to return a key.
 

Can I check in after 9 PM?

Yes, but arrangements must be made in advance. Full payment and electronic sign-in can be completed online before arrival. A noise curfew begins at 9:30 PM, so setting up campsites after this time is not permitted. If you're running late, please call ahead before 9 PM, as calls after this time will go to voicemail.
 

Can we have a fire?

Solid fuel fires are only permitted in designated fire pits and are not allowed on campsites. Fires are prohibited during summer or during total fire bans.
 

Can we have guests?

Yes, visitors are welcome but must report to reception upon arrival. A day visitor fee applies: $5 per person or $15 per family.
 

What are the reception hours?

Reception is generally staffed from 9 AM to 5 PM. Between 8 AM and 9 PM, a staff member is available to answer calls and take bookings. While staff are on-site 24/7 for security, they are not available for phone calls, payments, or bookings after 9 PM. After this time, staff respond to requests via the two-way radio at the office door.
 

Can we book the entire site for exclusive use?

Yes! Sole occupancy is available for both Catered and Self-Catered Camps, giving your group exclusive use of the site. Please note, this option is subject to the manager’s approval, is not available during public or school holidays, and may incur additional costs.

Is Camp Elim a dry site (no alcohol)?

Yes. Alcohol is not permitted anywhere on-site, including the lakefront and all accommodation. Smokers must smoke off-site along the main driveway before the triangle sign.
 

Do you have hot showers?

Yes. There are two amenity blocks with hot showers, flushing toilets, and laundry facilities.
 

Where is the closest dump point?

A dump point is available on-site for guest use.
